Hi there, I'm Helen. My friends call me Hen.I am a natural light portrait photographer based on the beautiful NSW Central Coast. I photograph predominantly on the Coast and Sydney’s North Shore.

A bit about my photography; I have been described as having a gift for bringing out and capturing natural relaxed beauty and genuine affection. I aim for minimal staging and intervention, preferring authentic, candid images and portraits. I aspire to capture you and your loved ones being yourselves in a relaxed, comfortable location, resulting in timeless images that you will cherish for life.
Whilst every now and then I stretch into different areas of photography, I absolute adore newborn, family and general portrait photography. Most clients, especially those who would prefer not to be photographed, are surprised at how much fun they actually have just hanging out during a photo shoot.

I have had a passion for photography since childhood (thanks to a patient neighbour with a darkroom), however Helen Lamont Photography was officially born after I had my own three children in 2011. Something that was important to me in establishing this business was making it stress free, fun and affordable. Many photographers retain rights to images and production service, and profit through production of prints and other photographic products. It seemed that many people I knew who were seeking to capture their family in photographs were either ending up spending above their budget or putting off taking photos because the cost was too daunting. What Helen Lamont Photography offers is an affordable fixed fee for the photo shoot, then you are given full ownership of your photos, allowing you a cost effective and flexible way to get great photos.

A bit about caring for others; Helen Lamont Photography is very proud to be an active member of Heartfelt offering regular voluntary photographic services, as well as donating services to chosen charities and organisations, such as Toxteth Kindergarten, St Thomas Willoughby, Willoughby Roos (Rugby), St Pius X College Chatswood, Chromhurst Lindfield, Central Coast Grammar School, Amnesty International, and now She The Change.

A bit about me; A Sydney born and raised gal, I moved to the Central Coast in 2016 and have relished every second of this amazing life on the Coast. I day doesn’t pass me by where I don’t honour and feel grateful the life I live, for my gorgeous nature filled acreage home, my ability to do regular yoga by the sea, beach walk, meditate, grow my veggies, nurture and enjoy my beautiful three kids, adventure plan with my husband and care for the numerous animals we co habitat with. As a family we try to live in the moment, embrace slow, and relish the beauty in the simplest components of every day. My journey to the Coast has also lead me to some of the most beautiful kindred spirits to share this life with.
